Action Mode

In action mode you get to save the Prime Minister. He has been abducted by aliens and it is your job to find him. As a result, you must blast your way through hundreds of underwater creatures. This mode of play features 50 levels as well as some great comic strips depicting Laser Dolphin's adventures.

Health Bar

The health bar is the blue bar seen in the top left corner of the screen. As you get shot at and injured, the health bar will gradually become empty. Once it is completely empty your dolphin implodes and you fail the level. But don't worry, you can always try the level again.

Weapon Bar

The weapon bar displays how much power your weapon has. If you hold down the mouse button to power up your laser, this bar will show you how much power you have. If you are currently using a power-up (like homing missiles) then this bar will show you how much time is left until your power-up runs out.

Gold Dolphins

There are five of these in each level. Picking them up will increase your health. These are often hidden in difficult to find places so you must search the level thoroughly to find them all.

Homing Torpedoes

This power-up seeks in on enemies and does a lot of damage. Fire and forget. It is very useful for firing around corners.

4x Damage

Pick this up to increase your damage done. It is very useful for disposing of the more powerful enemies such as the electric eel.

Rapid Fire

Turn your laser into a high powered machinegun. Just hold down the left mouse button to make short work of your enemies.

Laser Sword

The laser sword is likely the most powerful weapon in the game. It quickly destroys just about any opponent. It can also deflect or destroy any incoming weapons.
